So I have been sketching churches and have found so many that have similar detailing- check these out… and they are all on islands:) Most of these are in the Hawaiian islands and one of them is our very own Community Presbyterian of Port Aransas. The Keomoku Church on the island of Lanai dates back to 1903. After being decommissioned in 1954 then siting until the 80s it went thru a partial restoration only to sit in partial disrepair. It was saved by the Agape Foundation Charitable Trust and now serves the community as a place for events and worship. Our Community Presbyterian was a place of worship until Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017. The church has sat waiting patiently for someone to come along and bring it back to its former glory.
